Membership Rules
Membership to Islamic Association of Allen (IAA) is open to all Muslims 18 years of age or above who subscribe to the objectives of IAA set forth in Article 2 of the constitution.
Only registered members in good standing with IAA for at least six (6) months who are current residents of Collin County are eligible to vote for electing the Amir, Shura members and participate in Mosque proceedings.
Individuals requesting IAA membership must provide proof of address to successfully process their membership application. A current utility bill, driver’s license or any Government Issued id, with the applicant's current mailing address can be utilized as acceptable documents to support the membership application. Member and Spouse names in membership application must match their names in Government issued id. Please email a scanned copy or photo of the bill or id to
membership@myallenmasjid.com
or bring document to Mosque's office (at 909 Allen Central Drive - close to regular prayer timings).
A membership request will NOT be approved without acceptable documentation of proof of address. The IAA membership committee has the right to ask for additional information. IAA Shura reserves the right to decline a membership application or revoke membership, if membership requirements are not met.
The IAA membership committee could take up to 30 days to review and approve an application. Final approval or denial of a membership application will be communicated to the email address provided during the application process.
IAA membership is valid for two year period and therefore it must be renewed every two years. Proof of address is required at the time of renewal or change of address.
